How to beat 2048 Cupcakes when you are stuck

Getting stuck around the Birthday Sprinkle cupcake is normal: the board is crowded with mid-level cakes. Look for pairs of the simplest cakes first, because clearing them frees cells. If two cakes you need are separated by one tile, merge that tile away rather than sliding your row. You can also ask the 2048 AI for a suggested move; it reads the same positions as numbers.

What makes this version different

Cupcake versions of 2048 have been fan favourites for years, and most are small projects that swap numbers for pictures of cakes.
